The Sensex ended the week with gains of 136 points, or 0.5 per cent while the Nifty closed with gains of 48.3 points, or 0.6 per cent. Despite showing relative weakness in the early going the equity indices followed towards recovery as the S&P BSE Sensex end the day spiked to highs of 204 points, or 0.76 per cent, higher at 27,214 after lower opening is nearly 100 point.
