Euro FX E/Wave

The E/W count for the Euro/USD is reasonably clear but for the slow turn into wave four. A target in mid 1.38 would fit well and fits with Steven's latest Euro analysisEuro daily 12 mar.jpgSee More

Thanks for posting this Peter. We can never be reminded too often of the priceless and timeless lessons that Livermore teaches in his book. All traders should read it over and over again. Heck, it's here for FREE:…

Elliot Wave is not my thing but thanks for sharing. We'll know a lot more in a few days...or maybe a few hours!

Not seeing your Fib numbers on the chart but 900 could be good support. A selloff on news like the World Bank announcement usually shakes out weak hands and puts in a bottom. But we'll see.

SPX 19 JUN09 Elliot Wave

Update of the SPX Wave count. Wave Four resistance proves strong. Sufficient has been done to complete the count, although it would be unusual to get so close to the 0.382 correction of the main wave down without touching it!

This fourth wave could rally to a .50 retracement (about 1060) but the internal minor wave counts and the previous high at 950 mean that there is work to get through these levels first

Does that mean that a Wave 5 is still pending? Are there other potential wave counts? (I'm not much into Elliot or wave theory myself).

Jesse Livermore

I thought that it might be timely at this juncture in the equity markets to remind bull/bears of that 'leading light' and favorite of bull/bears, Jesse Livermore.

In addition to the famous "Reminiscences of a stock operator" by Edwin Lefevre, there are two very good books by Richard Smitten "Trade like Jesse Livermore" (2005) and "Jesse Livermore, The world's greatest trader" (2001).

Some of Jesse's trading principles were:
